GENERAL PUBLIC TOURS
General Public Tours
Prospect Local History Group volunteers conduct open days/tours of the air raid shelter, regularly throughout the year. A talk will be given by a volunteer covering the history and purpose of the air raid shelter, role of the air raid wardens, as well as the future plans for the air raid shelter. Time can be spent viewing information panels and memorabilia displays, both inside the shelter and in the surrounding garden area. A short film is shown of civil defence personnel participating in a training exercise on Prospect Oval in 1942.
Cost is a $5.00 per person, with monies received going towards the development of the air raid shelter and other PLHG activities.
