MURAL
In 2019, the City of Prospect commissioned South Australian artist Ella Simpson, Ink and Ruby Studios, to design and create a mural that depicted the civil defence response in WW2. The Prospect Local History Group acted as advisors.
Ella was inspired by an entry, written in 1945, in the diary of Lucy Lockett Ayers, a local air raid warden. Her full diary can be found in the State Library of South Australia Digital Collection.

The mural was funded through a grant from City of Prospect.
In 2023, with funding from Northpoint Toyota, the mural was extended, to frame the WW2 Honour Boards. The design of the original mural by Ella Simpson was used as a basis, with permission, for the artwork created by Neil and Jenny Rossiter.
